Requirements

The SEAScope viewer has been tested on macOS Catalina (10.15) and on an M1 Mac running macOS Ventura (13).
But it should also work on OS X Mavericks (10.9) or newer (be sure to let us know if it does ๐Ÿ˜‰).

Quickstart

  1. Install SEAScope

    1. Download the SEAScope disk image
    2. Open it
    3. Drag SEAScope to the Applications folder
    4. Done!
  2. Add some data (by default SEAScope does not come with any data)

    1. You can either generate your own data, or grab some from the IDF Data page (like the samples archive)
    2. Drag and drop the data archive over the SEAScope icon in Finder or the dock
    3. Wait for it to finish
    4. Restart SEAScope and choose to rebuild the index if asked

If you get a warning dialog when trying to open SEAScope, follow the instructions in the FAQ, then try again

SEAScope will index the data during launch. This may take some time to finish so please be patient: this step is skipped if the index already exists, allowing the application to start much faster afterwards.

To open the workspace of SEAScope you can do โ‡งโŒ˜G in Finder and paste ~/SEAScope-workspace then hit return
